Thanks Ray & Declan. With excellent technical skills behind us we thought we knew it all and what we required, but the problem was finding the standalone speaker that was going to give us the kind of quality of sound that we required. We have an excellent Bose multi room system that is now beginning to show its age. Two large speakers in 2 separate rooms had failed. The problem is that there are not a lot of people around who remember and understand the components of the Bose system from 20 years ago. It was a system ahead of its time and its components are complex. We visited a couple of decent HiFi stores but found them lacking. Where Rayleigh Hi Fi and in particular, Ray, really made a difference to us was being able to think outside of the box. That sounds quite a cliche but he realised that we were audiophiles and given the very small market of standalone speakers, he came up with an excellent resolutions for us. We had scoured the Internet and watched YouTube videos, to come up with what we thought was our own solution, but, when we listened to the speaker that we thought we wanted, although it sounded good, it didn’t even sound half as good as the speakers that Ray suggested. He pulled together different streaming devices and amps and remodelled the two rooms where our current speakers had failed. What is more impressive is he did it well within our budget. Rayleigh Hi Fi really did listen to us and together with their expertise, knowledge, excellent customer facing skills and the ability to listen they understood our objectives and what we wanted. They have made us so happy. We simply won’t go anywhere else!

My record player is now over thirty years old and Rayleigh HiFi continue to service it to an excellent standard. If my memory is correct, the machine has had one new mat, two new belts, a lifting mechanism and five cartridges; and it still works as well as when brand new.

I have been very happy with the service from Dec. I was unhappy with the depth of sound from my current system and with Dec’s knowledge and expertise have added a REL sub woofer which has transformed the sound beyond expectations. I have also added a streaming box to the mix which has resolved the problems with using blue tooth.
For me it is always about the sound experience and I have no real interest or aptitude for the technical stuff - well done Rayleigh Hifi - a very satisfied customer 😀

absolutely outstanding customer service after I phoned about my late husbands Naim stereo stopped working properly.
Declan was fantastic, collected the equipment, sent it to be repaired & delivered back to me.
I can’t thank him enough for coming to my rescue, in what was an emotional time

I had a major issue with my Linn Sondek and looked for a local company who could help sort it for me....To say I was very impressed by the levels of customer service, technical knowledge and sheer passion is a huge understatement...Owner Larry and his young but highly competent assistant Declan were both very helpful in diagnosing the issue and offering options of how to rectify the problem.
Following some very interesting discussions on pros and cons of different options and 'bang for my buck' I decided to not only get the original issue fixed but go for some upgrades within my budget. Two weeks later and I now have an even more amazing sounding (and looking) turntable and I am their customer for life, a pleasure doing business with you sirs!

I have been buying my HiFi equipment from Rayleigh HiFi for over 30 years, when I started working and became interested in listening to quality music reproduction. The staff are very knowledgable and give honest advice to suit your requirement. They stock a good range of products to suit all pockets.

I was struggling with old floor standing speakers and wary of making the wrong decision when replacing. Rayleigh Hi-Fi were recommended by a friend. They were excellent from start to finish! Took time demonstrating a number of different options in their sound room, not rushed, no bias just a keen interest in getting it right for me. Ray was excellent. I ordered new speakers and they were ready to collect a few days later. All now set up at home and happy.

Had an issue where speaker cable wasn't long enough after buying some new equipment, The cable is behind the walls in the floor so was a real pain.
One call they pulled up my order from 10 years ago found what cable was used on the original install, sourced some of the cable and built me a high quality extension within 2 days.
Amazing customer service!!!

Rayleigh Hi-Fi are an excellent organisation dedicated to the enjoyment of music. They stock a very wide variety of equipment to suit all pockets. Their customer service is second to none. Always highly knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help and never impatient nor pushy. They are real enthusiasts who take a genuine interest in helping you get the very best sound available. In recent months Ray and Dec in the Rayleigh branch have helped me rebuild my system and are a pleasure to work with.

I recently contacted the Rayleigh branch to ask if they could service my Linn turntable, which I had originally purchased from them back in 1990. They were extremely helpful and said that they could service it on site, so I took it in. I received a phone call from Larry who had looked at it and he advised me of the condition and what was needed to be done and was very thorough and helpful. They did a fantastic job, it’s as good as new, they breathed new life into it. The service was very fairly priced and I whole heartedly recommend them for new purchases and repair/service work. This was a great customer experience which is sadly a rare thing these days. Well done Rayleigh HiFi.
