Good gym, nice equipment and not too busy even in peak times. Decent hot showers too. Also have access to other gyms within their company that have pool, sauna, more classes ect

Love the gym, could do with a few more machines like a little peckdeck & EZ BAR, but the most annoying thing is, is where it’s a small gym, they’re not limiting to members and it’s become so busy over the last few months.
(There’s two exercise machines that could go that no one uses to replace for something a lot of people will use for chest days)
I think a limit needs to be put on the place personally, just so it doesn’t become like every other gym where you can’t get on machines.

It's quite nice with the new gym which has new equipment. Can get a hit crowded during busy times so limited to what you can do. However there are showers and a cafe where you can have a coffee. Asda is round the corner so you can pop in for bits after.

We are a small group of badminton players and hire a court on a Friday 7pm till 8pm. There are 4 courts in the hall, however two courts are hired out to a Kendo group and unfortunately this group causes badminton players a noise distraction at intermittent times.
As the group scream, shout while bashing their sticks at each other. The noise is extremely loud and unbearable. Rayleigh Leisure should warn badminton players before allowing them to hire the remaining courts and compensate them accordingly, as this noise distraction does spoil our play.

They just had a whole new gym installed here, they have spent over £300,000 in there and it shows. Top of the range lifefittness treadmills that connect to your phone. Great upgrade. Give them a call and you can get a free pass to try it out.

The membership price and the standard of gym equipment is not matched fairly, in my opinion. I had a gym trial day here recently and all of the equipment is very worn and old. Most of the equipment was either broken or parts were missing so you couldn’t use it properly to it’s fullest potential. You can sign up to much cheaper gyms and the standards are a lot better. I found it a shame as this is my local gym but I’m finding I’m having to branch out further to Basildon area for a gym in order to gain good value for money.

(Rayleigh Branch) Would have been ready to give a good rating until realised I had been scammed by the staff after signing up to a membership. Arrived for a pre paid class; whilst waiting a staff member was trying to get me to sign up to membership. I said no because I didn’t want to pay monthly costs to which she said the first month was only £1 and as long as I cancelled before the end of the month I wouldn’t be charged anything more. So signed up on that basis. Next day went to cancel and after I double checked to make sure I wouldn’t be charged the following month the receptionist said that I would be charged as had to give a full month’s notice. I tried to explain what I had been told but she just shrugged it off saying I would still be charged for another month.
Total scammers. Be aware if you are ever approached with a to good to be true offer from this company! All is not as it seems.

Wonderful local gym. Modern, bright and packed with facilities. Squash courts, badminton, basketball, studios, indoor bowls, gym facilities, cafe, outdoor football ... Staff are friendly and helpful. Membership fees are modest. The gym is a little on the small side which can feel cramped with the machines on top of each other but it does not tend to get too crowded too often. Free parking. Clean and spacious changing rooms with showers. There is no swimming pool but you can become a group member and gain access to the pool at nearby Rochford.

As a gym, it's fine. Lots of different machines and gym staff are happy to help advise on technique and routine. There are bowls and squash courts, plus a studio for classes. Class instructors are a mixed bag of enthusiastic and bored.
Reception staff have been incredibly unhelpful to me, struggling to answer basic questions, know what courses are on or how the website works. Be warned the website is very confusing and bounces between two different systems.
Decent if limited facilities, poor customer service.
