I cannot recommend Paula highly enough to anyone who may be struggling or going through a difficult time. Paula has created a safe space where you can talk openly and she not only listens but provides meaningful help and advice that can be applied to day-to-day life. She really helped me and after a series of sessions I now have a more positive outlook on life!

I will be forever grateful for the help and support Paula has given me over the last year. When I first met Paula my anxiety was starting to affect my day to day life, but this has now hugely improved and I now recognise the signs and I know how to manage how I'm feeling. Paula was so approachable, kind and reassuring from the offset. I already have and will continue to recommend Essex Talking Therapy to anyone who needs it. Thank you Paula.

With the help I received from Paula, I’ve completely changed my life around. From being down in the dumps, crippled with anxiety and not wanting to do anything, to making massive changes in my career, completely reshaping my future, and feeling like a completely new man. Paula gave me the confidence, encouragement and the advice I needed, to help me overcome any problems I was experiencing previously. Thank you Paula for everything. I have, and will continue to, recommend you to anyone in need.

Paula is a really lovely lady and very easy to talk to. She has given me so much help dealing with my anxiety, helping me to understand the root causes of my problems, and guiding me in a new way of looking at my reactions to the things in life that I have difficulty in dealing with. I would highly recommend her.

I can’t thank Paula enough for her service, she has changed my life. Admitting you need help can be scary but seeking for the right person to help can be equally terrifying. From the start Paula has been nothing but amazing. I will be forever grateful for her and how she has helped me overcome the challenges I have faced. Most importantly she’s helped me realise I am not alone. Thank you Paula x

I'm now 25 and after difficult and traumatic experiences with my family and relationship, I felt I needed help to navigate my life and find a way to move on. I was self destructive and began to lose hope. After researching online, I found Paula and it has been nothing but a blessing. Paula has been the greatest support I could ever have asked for in a professional counsellor. She is extremely easy to talk to, about all manner of topics, and I could not have imagined making it this far without her help. For anyone hesitating, please contact Paula. She is very experienced and adaptable and I could never thank her enough for providing me with the tools I need to change my life. Everything I have learned through my sessions, I will carry forward for the rest of my life. As now for the first time, possibly ever, I feel my whole life is ahead of me.

Paula was my therapist for twenty hours of my personal student therapy whilst I was on my placement. She listened, made me feel welcome and was quick to question me and clarify when I contradicted myself. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend, Paula. I felt incredibly motivated after our sessions. I look forward to seeing her again, when I need future supervision.

Highly recommended. After a difficult period in Summer 2020 I decided to talk to Paula with a view to identifying a source for the frustrations & anxieties that were showing signs of limiting my life ambitions. During the many weeks of working together we managed to identify areas of my internal wiring that could be tweaked to improve my outlook and I established a clear link between sensations, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Paula's question selection, recommended reading, and suggested activities provided a path for self discovery (as opposed to simply 'being told') which was vital for my learning style and therefore progress. I can't thank Paula enough for the help she provided me.

Feeling extreme anger since the death of a parent I wasn't able to understand my constant black mood. This caused me to seek the help of Paula. I knew I didn't need bereavement counselling as was glad that the relationship I had with my parent was finally over. Paula rather quickly unravelled where my feelings of anger were coming from and helped me to put an end to my years of negative thinking. A few relationship issues with others came to light and having had the chance to discuss my thoughts and feelings safely I now feel completely back in control of me. Paula would make a comment and this would get the cogs in my brain turning over quite naturally. I almost laugh at the way my thought process has changed without actually being aware that I was the one making the changes. I don't know how Paula helps make the change happen but thank goodness she does as the dark place my mindset seemed stuck in was frightening. The last time I felt this positive and free was over 20 years ago so Paula was amazing in getting to the root of the problem, I don't think I had more than 5 sessions and I am like the bold brave me of years ago. Her setting was also a great environment to get that feeling of being away from everything, very soothing and calming if you need visual relaxation whilst unloading to Paula. I so highly recommend Paula, had therapy before but never felt this keen to move forward, leave my baggage behind and embrace the happy positive ME.
